FAQ (frequently asked questions)

Why "chanur.com" and how do you pronounce it?

"Chanur" (chan*ur like "ch" in checkers) is an easy word to say and it wasn't in use when I went looking for a name.

There's an error on your website...

Well, tell me about it. But be clear and recognize that I put a lot of work into this site and there are a lot of pages. Being sarcastic or rude will get you nothing. Being vague or not telling me what page is wrong will fix nothing.

Tell me the page (copy&paste the page address or the title) and explain what you think is wrong. I'll check it out and correct anything I determine is indeed an error or I'll let you know why I think it's correct... then we can determine the real answer together.

Will you add a link to my web page on your site?

Sure. I'll add links to web pages I find are related to my site. I will only link to "index" pages that will not disappear.

To add a link to your site, send me your name, e-mail address, the subject area we have in common, and the exact page address (URL); you can also provide a small graphic. I will review your site to see if I feel there is a good match. I will decide how and where to place the link or links to your site. If I find the link is not reachable 2 or more days in a row I may remove the link from my site without notice to you.

Can I have permission to link to your web page?

Yes, of course! Link to my home page or any of the standard "index" pages. Linking to any other page may result in a broken link at some time in the future. I'll try to keep the index pages from moving but a web site is a living thing so I cannot guarantee anything.

If we find a common bond between our web sites, I would suggest setting up reciprocal links.
