Pedigree

A pedigree, also known as an "ancestor chart", is a diagram that show the direct ancestors of a person. Typically a pedigree chart for genealogy shows 4 or 5 generations. Some diagrams include medical information, similar to a genogram.

The diagram below shows the basic information in a pedigree chart including name, birth date, marriage date, spouse, death date and some pedigree charts include the cause of death.
