Notes:

  • SPENCER family lived in Pawling, Dutchess County, New York at the beginning these generations and moved to Bradford County, Pennsylvania during this time.
    • Augusta (1b) died as a child of scarlet fever
    • Nellie (1g) caught scarlet fever from clothes or blankets from her older sister Augusta, that had simply been put away for the next girl, and she lost her hearing according to family tradition
