Notes:

  • This is the generation of the SPENCER family that participated in the US Revolutionary War. Theophilus (my ancestor) did not serve in the army but he had at least one brother on each side.
    • Michael (1d) & Caleb (1g) served with the colonial forces
    • Robert (1b) served with the British Army and later moved to Canada
  • WHALEY family is a mystery. A debate exists whether this man was part of or related to Edward Whaley "the regicide".
