Bedfordshire
My connection to Bedford County is primarily formed with the SPENCERS
who immigrated to the Massachusetts Bay Colony in the 1630s, and
their forebears. The SPENCERS lived in Edworth and Stotfold. While
there connections were made to MERRILL, LIMER, and WHITBREAD families.
The small parish of Edworth abuts on Hertfordshire on the east
and on the Roman Way on the west. My SPENCER
ancestors lived there until about 1563 when Michael
(1530) moved to Stotfold.
