William DUNN was born 1785 in NJ to Joseph DUNN and Rachel MATTHAR.

From Sep 1814 to Dec 1814, William served as Captain of a company of volunteers for service during the War of 1812. The company did not leave Sussex County, New Jersey but the service did count.

He married Mary YETTER about 31 Mar 1816 and had the following (known) children:

William died 11 Mar 1842 in Walpack Twp, Sussex Co, NJ. He is buried in the Dutch Reformed Church Cemetery in Flatbrookeville, Walpack Twp.
