Henry Clay SPENCER was born 4 Aug 1844 in Pawling, Dutchess Co, NY to Lyman SPENCER and Eliabeth BROWNELL.

A family story says that Henry worked in a cannon factory during the Civil War.

Henry moved to Burlington, Bradford Co, PA before 1867. He married Amanda Jane DUNN on 23 Jun 1867 at Towanda, Bradford Co, PA. Henry and Amanda had the following children:

Henry died 15 Jan 1929 in Towanda, Bradford Co, PA and is buried at Mt. Lake Cemtery, Burlington Twp, Bradford Co, PA.

Note that the headstone says he died in January 1928 but his death certificate, while hard to read, does say 1929. His will was probated on 21 Jan 1929 also.
