Albert L WILLIAMS (pedigree) was born 11 Dec 1842 in Frankford Twp, Sussex Co, NJ to John WILLIAMS and Sarah DUGAN.

Albert married Harriet C RUTAN sometime between 1860 and 1865 in Sussex Co, NJ. Albert did not served in the War of the Rebellion.

They had the following children:

• Edward R WILLIAMS (8 Sep 1865-1 May 1886) died in a train accident and is buried in the Branchville Cemeter
• Joseph Franklin "Frank" WILLIAMS (1872-1908)
• Grace A WILLIAMS (Sep 1883-29 Jul 1939) never married
• John E WILLIAMS (Sep 1886-Oct 1959)

Albert died 11 Jun 1922 in Branchville of paresis, which had afflicted him for some time.

Albert, Harriet and daughter Grace are buried in an unmarked plot in the Branchville Cemetery. Grace left money for a headstone but her boyfriend only purchased a headstone for himself.
